Torreón
Work as product engineer liaison at Torreon ignition coil production site.
Lead product engineer activities (i.e.: design, prototype construction, validation, GD&T;, DFMEA and release of ignition coils for automotive applications using Change Request System).
Interface on a technical level with a variety of global customers and suppliers.
Lead and/or support continuous improvement activities focusing on warranty reduction, FTQ reduction and cost reduction.
Lead and/or support implementation of new coils for aftermarket.
prepare progress reports for upper management.
Occasional travel in USA and/or International; flexible work schedule necessary on occasion.
- 2 years minimum product design experience.
- Fluent English skills
- Analytical skills and experience doing stack up calculations, analysis, and/or simulation to confirm key product challenges.
- Willing and motivated to learn new products and technologies and gain additional skills
Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Creativity and resourcefulness in finding new product design solutions and moving past challenges
