Works on a team that engages in business development strategies for Latin America (Mexico, Central, and South America) and programs in support of Oracle's Sales Organization.



This team is responsible for developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment or channel in Latin America. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. With guidance from the vice president, oversees market analysis,

monitors competitive activity and identification of customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Provides support to marketing and sales programs. Participates in implementation of organizational changes in line with changing business and market.



Assists in the development of short, medium, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Business management experience, and Marketing/Business Development experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills. 5-7 years previous people management experience. Professional credentials in Marketing/Business Development. Academic credentials desirable. Working knowledge of business development job. Thorough understanding of Cloud or Oracle's products and services. Ability to lead a team in all areas of strategic business development. Effective written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements



Manages a team that engages in business development strategies and programs in support of Oracle's Sales Organization.



Manages, through lower level managers and directors, a team of business development consultants. Team is responsible for developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment or channel. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. With guidance from the vice president, oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity and identification of customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs. Participates in implementation of organizational changes in line with changing business and market.



Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Business management experience, and Marketing/Business Development experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. 7 - 10 years previous people management experience. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing. Academic credentials desirable. Working knowledge of business development job. Thorough understanding of Oracle's products and services. Ability to lead a team in all areas of strategic business development. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability.
