GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job)
The Plant Engineering Manager is representative for all plant, equipment and process tasks. The Engineering Manager defines and executes manufacturing processes for current, service, and new products. Analyzes work force utilization, space requirements, process flow, and designs, buys and installs equipment for maximum efficiency. This person also manages all process tasks and optimization. Lead cross functionally teams of engineering and all departments of the plant. Manage team to meet all targets for manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, scrap, containment and efficiency optimization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance)
- Serves as liaison between the engineering department and other departments within the plant, to ensure that the manufacture or purchasing of products meets functional requirements at the lowest possible cost.
- Maintains a constant surveillance over product design a manufacturing processes for cost reduction and control.
- Oversees the design of all special production machinery necessary to maintain manufacturing operations at competitive levels.
- Participates to maintain customer complaints and customer PPM including all the staff.
- Participates to maintain / improve service delivery ratings.
- Participates to meet financial plant target result of sales as operational plant margin
- Meet lean savings planned numbers.
- Support operations to meet the lean principles across the plant with all the members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist and participate in mandatory training sessions.
- Realize the functions within the interior work guidelines and regulations, Code of conduct, follow
- Security rules and guidelines,
comply with having a cleanliness and hygienic general environment and follow other policies and procedures.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement tasks according to established plans.
Participate in simulated emergency drills as part of the evacuation brigade and lead staff personnel. * Not limited to other functions assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Direct decision making to guarantee the integrity of personnel in evacuation processes of the plant.
- Maintain Overall Equipment Efficiency at acceptable levels.
- Ensures Heat Map activities are aligned with plant layout evolution.
- New machinery / Deliverable to production after acceptance.
- Development Industry 4.0 / I-Most CST.
- Cycle time improve / Bottleneck.
- All the responsibilities and follow the authority assigned according to the FTM-EHS-12 Roles,
Responsibility and Authority Matrix from ISO 14001 /45001
- Complies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE (Required occupational qualifications and other requirements)
- EDUCATION
- Obtained bachelor’s degree.
- Fluent English.
- EXPERIENCE
- Experience in automotive companies, 5 minimum years.
- KNOWLEDGE
- IATF Quality System
- Desire Mandatory training Plan.
- Troubleshooting Tools
- Core Tools Knowledge
- PFMEA and Reverse PFMEA
- Lean Manufacturing Systems
- Knowledge in GD&T;
