Guaymas, Son.Job Description: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive work assignments from Focused Factory Manager, Leadman, or Planner/Scheduler. Works from routings, drawings, process sheets, setup sheets, and verbal instructions from Supervisor. Setup, adjust and operate horizontal lathes to perform a limited variety of operations to fairly liberal tolerances and final requirements. Usually standardized and somewhat repetitive work where tooling and operational sequences are prescribed but operator may vary same to compensate for conditions and materials. Will keep machine and surrounding area clean and in a safe condition at all times. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Performs work of an equal or lower classification on a temporary basis as required. Perform work assignments in a safe manner. Responsible for turning in rate changes (low or high). Fill out final inspection reports as required. Notify Supervisor of damaged material and/or any discrepancies on the number of parts. Operate CRT for Data Entry. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
