Role Summary/Purpose: The Sub-Section Manager demonstrates accountability for
functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will
integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the
organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be
involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business
Essential Responsibilities: Provide overall leadership and administrative
management for assigned personnel. Foster a multi-functional team environment.
Provide engineering support to all assigned customers, employing the latest
technology while minimizing costs. Satisfy the needs of Assembly, Overhaul,
and Engineering processes to achieve maximum benefits. Establish and implement
cost estimates, goals, plans, and policies. Direct scheduling and design plans
to achieve overall business needs. Develop and maintain a productive work
environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional efforts to achieve and
maintain Drafting and/or Engineering
· Lead business initiatives in design, test and dynamics technology, quality
and productivity.Identify and promote the development of improved processes
related to to the team.
· Recommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements
· Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules
and budgets commitments
· Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems
· Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor
others in the organization
· Ensure employees receive the training and guidance needed to broaden
responsibilities and technical contributions
· Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned
projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
· Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant
· Establish and communicate the work group goals that meet the needs of the
· Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or
· Represent and promote department compliance activities as a member of the
· Assure communication of technical and business information between
organizations and within the work group. Communicate technical,
organizational, resource and personnel issues to management.
· Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
Qualifications/Requirements: · Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of experience
· Excellent written, oral and comprehension abilities in English and Spanish.
· Must be able to maintain a normal day-to-day fluid conversation on any topic
with few mistakes (mistakes that will not affect getting the message through).
Must have fluency and rhythm and sufficient self-confidence in the language to
be able to handle meetings and conversations .For more information consult HR

· Demonstrated solid technical skills and experience in accordance with the
team’s scope.
· Point of contact between counterparts and GEIQ
· Responsible for a complete organization within GEIQ
· Experienced in management of budget, HC, and program approval
· High Technical contribution to the team
· Responsible for the follow up and completion of programs
· Experience coordinating relevant projects with higher autonomy/ownership
· Experience managing high level of conflict and labor issues
· Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan,
market, execute, control, close and manage programs, projects, orders,
activities or systems
· Certified Green Belt (Desired for external candidates)
· Highly independent management of GE processes
· Strategic planning and execution
· 5 years minimum of proven experience successfully managing LPB employees.
