Role Summary/Purpose: The NPI leader will be responsible for designing and
developing fabrication processes, procedures, and operation sequence for the
manufacturing of new and existing panels to be used for low voltage products.
Essential Responsibilities: · Provide New Product Introduction (NPI) program
management for fabrication product lines and assume responsibility for
quality, cost, and schedule of program deliverables.
· Define project requirements to meet program objectives, including investment
(P&E;), resource requirements, tollgate schedule, and budget.
· Ensure that technical execution resources are effectively applied to meet
program tollgates and CTQ’s.
· Be responsible for the implementation of new equipment and fabrication
processes to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and
production yields for existing products
· Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new
products and to provide guidance regarding design concepts and specification
requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques for
fabrication products.
· Design and build / procure necessary tooling, gauges and fixtures within
business budget
· Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation
· Conduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment
· Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to
improve process capability, reduce overall cost and increase capacity
Qualifications/Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience
in an operations or management position)
· Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in fabrication processes.
