General Information
The position reports to the Manager, Asset Reliability and Performance,
located in the city of Toluca, Mexico. The successful candidate will be
responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordination and support of all the
training and development requirements for employees in the Mexico Operations
organization. The successful candidate will work closely with Field
Operations, Work Planners and Regional Managers located across Mexico, various
Administrative Assistants, and the Corporate Competency, Learning &
Development team.
In consideration of the specific qualifications, the successful candidate may
be offered a position at a more appropriate level.
This position is eligible for domestic relocation.
-Facilitate, make recommendations, and manage the Mexico Operations annual training plan and budget for all Operations personnel in collaboration with the Regional Managers, work planners, and Associates;
-Ensure appropriate training vendors (external and/or internal) are chosen to meet and deliver training requirements;
-Manage and maintain scheduled classroom training and evaluation events for all operations personnel within Learning management System (Success Factors) using established procedures and practices;
-Develop and implement a training matrix to manage the logistics of training implementation;
-Manage participants’ registrations for training ( additions, cancellations, reschedules, etc.);
-Confirm and verify accurate records of course completions within the Learning Management System;
-Serve as the Operations liaison with the Learning and Development Team on new training requirements, courses, schedules, evaluation of trainers, etc.;
-Create a feedback process for all training completed by personnel to ensure continuous improvement opportunities are identified and actioned;
-Issue monthly summary reports on training progress and update the learning plan forecast, as required. Make recommendations based on trending information, feedback received and learnings gathered to the leadership team;
-Produce annual training forecast reports for planning and budgetary purpose;
-Support of the department Manager on all business plan training initiatives;
-Other tasks as required.
Qualifications and Education
-Four years’ experience in employee learning and development programs
-Excellent customer service skills; strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills;
-Experience with SAP and Learning Management Systems or Records Management System preferred
-Able to manage time and work to deadlines; the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks is essential;
-A high degree of accuracy and an attention to detail;
-An aptitude for technology and the capability to manage information and data;
-Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and develop and maintain collaborative working relationships;
-Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer skills including file management, accuracy in data entry, and basic troubleshooting skills;
-Business Administration or advanced education/training;
-Bilingual competency in Spanish and English required at a conversational level;
Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or
training which would involve some overnight stays away from home.
*This position will require travel across borders and as such the candidate must be able to provide applicable documentation to this affect.
