delivery teams. GDC’s highly technical, global resources support customer
engagements in all theaters acting as a seamless delivery partner to AS
practice and theatre teams.

architectures – Borderless Networks, Collaboration, Data
Center/Virtualization, Mobility, Video, NGN and OSS. Through our network of
Global Delivery Centers (GDCs) we enable delivery of innovative services and
solutions. Our collaborative delivery model drives scalability, productivity
and innovation across the AS organization.
GDCs are located in strategic regions around the globe – Bangalore, Dalian,

The Team
Business Operations:Business Operations provides critical business insights to
several Business Entities in Services. The team has specialized domains in 5
broad areas that function seamlessly to enable end to end Business Operations
benefits to Advanced Services and also overall Services.
Specialized Domains are:
1. Process and Systems
2. Data Governance/Stewardship
3. Reports and Analytics;
4. Big data Infrastructure and Analytics
5. Automation
Role & Responsibilities
Overall role: Drives business planning and strategy, measures and reports
business results and outcomes, and facilitates cross-functional efforts to
optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness through business
process/governance definition and re-engineering. Enables business functions
in driving Customer Satisfaction, Contribution Margin, and Operational
Excellence through: financial management, business controls, results
optimization, risk management, process improvement, portfolio management,
technology implementation, communications, change leadership, certification
and skills development, and quality programs. Manages the design and
implementation of business processes, ensuring that business initiatives align
with strategy. For big data analytics, the data will not only be operations,
financial data, but also network data.
Automation Domain specific: Analyzes complex business problems to be solved
with automated systems or using data from internal and external sources.
Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems
and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures
system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and
acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business
requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation
to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked
teams to address business or systems issues. May identify and interpret trends
and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts,
recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market
knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business
needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to
users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues. May directly
produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
Minimum Qualifications
– BE or BE + Masters (MS or MBA) ;
– Experience in Business Operations, reports and analytics ;
– 7-10 years of experience (or 6-8 yrs with Masters)
– Ability to work cross functionally ;
– Very strong in business analytics ;
– experience in services will be helpful ;
– Exposure to operational and financial data ;
– Good in communication (ability to articulate analysis and present)
Desired Skills
Strong in both, operational and financial data analysis
– Experience in statistical models, forecasting and predictive models
– Ability to work on multiple assignments in parallel and keep up with
deadlines and quality
– Articulate complex data in business terms and make recommendations
– Skill to extract intelligence from data, derive business insights and
present to business
