As the company expands globally, we are looking to add a Tax Coordinator for the Central America & Caribbean Region Team, reporting to the Central America & the Caribbean Head of Tax. This role will serve our region operations in Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, and other to come, and will be based in Mexico City.
This role will work closely with various internal teams such as legal, finance and operations,
and external advisors to execute tax-planning initiatives, tax litigations and strategies while handling complex audits and communications with local tax authorities, for all countries in this region.

Develop, implement and support Uber’s income tax, transfer pricing and VAT strategies in the region.Collaborate with cross functional teams regarding tax, treasury, finance and other matters.Manage controversy and provide guidance in tax issues and disputes in various jurisdictions and build and develop relationships with various tax authorities.Support business initiatives and implementations, advising cross-functional teams on tax issues to achieve operational efficiency and business objectives. Manage and support day-to-day tax affairs ensuring compliance and reporting either directly with local finance or with external advisors.
5+ years of relevant experience.Big 4 or specialized law firm experience strongly preferred with in-house background, ideally in Fortune 500, US based corporation.Regional experience is considered a strong plus.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Law.Master’s and/or Specialization in Taxation preferred.Experience in a high-growth, international environment preferred.Great communication skills, well organized with a proven leadership ability.Excellent communication and organization skills.Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Uber Love!
