Role Summary/Purpose: Perform identified duties for assigned components,
assemblies, processes, and/or systems in a multi-functional team environment.
Perform and document engineering analyses of gas turbine components: gears,
housings, bearings, seals, etc. Analyses scope could be, but is not limited
to: stresses, vibrations, heat transfer, stack up and lube systems.
Communication in English with counterparts and suppliers is required as well
as technical presentations in English or Spanish.
Essential Responsibilities: 1.-Execute, with some guidance, the analysis,
design, test and/or integration required to define and support the assigned
components, assemblies and/or process systems that meet business standards,
practices and procedures and the product/program requirements.
2.- Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures,
Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications,
Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
3.-Demonstrate technical capabilities concurrent with execution of position
4.-Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components,
assemblies and/or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
5.-Provide timely communication regarding significant issues or developments.
6.-Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews.
7.-Solve problems of limited scope and complexity.
8.- Utilize Six Sigma tools to improve current business products and
processes. Document successful Six Sigma projects via Green Belt reports
and/or presentations.
9.- Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality
and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
10.- Self check of work.
11.- Apply solid engineering skills to the solution of assigned projects and
demonstrate understanding of technical challenges in the function on matter.
12.- Propose innovative analysis design, processes and systems.
13.-Understanding input from the various engineering disciplines.
– BS degree in related field plus 1 year of experience in related field or
Master’s degree in related field .
– Sound understanding of engineering principles relevant to the position.
– Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
– Must be able to understand most of a simple conversation asks simple

– Presentation Skills: ability to communicate across functions.
– Green Belt certification within 1 year of hire date / Green Belt certified.
– Understanding of Project Management principles
