Role Summary/Purpose: Provide customer service assistance for all internal and
external customers of GE. Serve as primary contact for inbound customer
inquiries via telephone, Internet, email or facsimile transmission.
Essential Responsibilities:
– Answer customer questions related to orders, RMA’s, product availability,
pricing, etc.
– Process all domestic and international orders in Oracle/SAP ERP, including
maintaining appropriate records and validating shipments.
– Provide order status information for both internal and external customers
– Guarantee the orders master file are properly controlled and storage.
– Gather, research and input into Oracle/SAP ERP data required for customer
return process and follow-up activities as required
– Follow pre-defined procedures to identify, evaluate, solve and escalate
customer issues
– Update procedures when a change in the order processing process is required
– Coordinate with Demand, Fulfilment and Warehouse areas the on time shipping
and delivery of goods.
– Participate in EHS/ Quality program
– High school diploma or GED
– English – written and verbal communication
– Must be able to work a flexible work schedule from the hours of 8am EST to
7pm EST Monday to Friday
– Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated Customer Support experience in a
business setting
– Experience working with Oracle or SAP (desired, not essential)
– Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel mainly)
– Must be able to sit for long periods of time working on a keyboard
– Must be able to operate a computer, telephone and various office equipment
