The Segment Lead advisor will play a key role in realizing the Generation of
TS Americas Services, specially in Latin America market. Through deep
knowledge of business markets and business models, strong alignment and
interlock with the Service and Product Sales Leadership, and strong cross-
functional collaboration with all appropriate corporate/internal and external
teams. The candidate will shape a total approach to increase the TS value
proposition to our customers, partners and Cisco.
The focus will be partnering with cross functional sales Leadership to refine
and develop strategies to increase penetration of existing services through
architectures and business models, and increasing services relevance and
The candidate will define and execute key strategies and initiatives within TS
Americas and key stakeholder organizations.
* Partner with Americas/Latam Sales Leadership to achieve interlocked growth targets
* Assess and identify key segment challenges and leverage analytics and innovation to drive bookings and technology adoption in partnership with Sales
* Drive increased Sales for assigned the Segment through wider service adoption
* Utilize installed base knowledge and customer interactions/data to increase TS relevancy and impact
* Provide Segment expertise within Technical Services in order to articulate key segment and market business drivers
* Serve as TS ambassador to Americas/Latam Sales teams—improve understanding of support offers and competitiveness and feed Sales requirements back into TS and the Americas Region
This position requires a candidate with, amongst others, the following skills:
* Working knowledge of sales processes and Cisco technology.
* Fully bilingual Spanish/English are a must, Portuguese a definite plus
* Sales experience preferred
* Understanding of Cisco’s go-to-market strategy, working knowledge of Cisco, Services (Technical Services portfolio, Smart Services offers and Advanced Service offers)
* Highly results-oriented; ability to clearly articulate and deliver business value
* Experience working with sales, business development, and product management teams
* Effective communications and leadership skills are a must along with presentation skills.
* Strong understanding of product definition, portfolio management & evolution
* Strong command of process, metrics and measures
* Strong understanding of customer requirements, architectures and solutions.
* Strong understanding of new business models and architectures
Ability to:
* Partner and influence senior leadership
* Build a business case and manage key relationships
* Display executive presence by building rapport and credibility.
* Add value by proactively identifying business opportunities for the customer, conveying a firm understanding of the customer’s business model
* Articulate future buying trends and service requirements to Americas leadership

* Lead a highly cross-functional virtual team through influence.
* Establish partnerships and build credibility with key stakeholders

* Deal with uncertainties; be business savvy with industry trends
* 7+ years relevant experience
* Sales partnership experience a plus
* A strategic thinker and planner as well as excellent relationship manager
* Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade — using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way
* Solid Visionary strategist with outstanding customer focus and ability to creatively influence inside and outside the organization
* Proven track record of enabling successful policy, processes & solutions
* Marketing/business development experience a plus
* Proven business planning, negotiation and matrix management skills
* Knowledge and leadership experience with different technologies a plus
* Good experience in developing and managing large cross-functional projects leading to successful delivery to market
* Knowledge of the Services business context highly desirable
* Ability to travel up to 25%
