The Business Entity
This team is part of the global partner organization supporting our alliance with Ericsson. The WW Partner organization is responsible for driving Cisco’s business through our partners providing sales support, enablement and education.
The Team
Cisco is searching for a regional Sales Business Development Manager (SBDM) to work in the Ericsson Alliance Team. In this role, you will part of a team to increase the operational effectiveness of the sales organization and to manage the internal communications process with the segment leadership team. You will be responsible for driving and developing the strategy for selling joint Cisco -Ericsson Infrastructure, physical and virtual offers. The team will also be responsible for outbound program creation for demand generation of product/solution/software sales Go-To-Market (GTM). Experience in the Service Provider sector and a firm understanding of the challenges Operators face and how we can help monetize and optimize their GTM will be key.
Role & Responsibilities
• Own implementation and tracking of effectiveness improvement initiatives
• Primary responsibility for performance of the Ericsson Alliance in the corresponding assigned Ericsson Region including strategy, escalation, forecasting and enablement of Cisco and Ericsson teams to sell Cisco solutions
• This role will report to the Head of Regional Ericsson Alliance POD leader and be part of the regional alliance team
• Forecasting: Integration point for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting process for your assigned Ericsson region
• Drive in collaboration with Cisco and Ericsson sales in selected accounts transformational initiatives
• Includes the planning and management of internal face-to-face and virtual meetings
• Sales planning process: Collaborates with Director of Sales Strategy/BD, OD/CDs, Seg VP, and Controller on planning process
• Be responsible for implementation and tracking of improvement initiatives and share best practice across Global Alliance Team
Minimum Qualifications
• The candidate should exhibit strong sales/channel sales skills, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of SP market and architectures, understanding of Cloud and NFV concepts
• 10+ years industry channel management and program experience
• Ability to engage internal resources such as Marketing, Technology Experts, Cisco Services, Finance, Legal, and others
• BS/BA required
