Role Summary/Purpose: Manage a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers
aiming to achieve the Product Design objectives related to Airborne Power
Generation Systems.
In this role, you will lead hardware tasks related to developing and testing
according to Hardware and Systems requirements. Build enhancements within an
existing hardware product line and suggest improvements to the architecture.
Essential Responsibilities:
– Build and manage a world class engineering hardware team
– Establish team vision and long term plans
– Partnering with other departments across the company
– Act as a mentor to the team
– Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/problems
– Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant
– Provide technical leadership to personnel and teams supporting the assigned
– Actively contribute on technical and non-technical decisions
– BS degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or related degree plus 6
years of experience
– 2+ years of experience leading hardware development teams as a Technical
Leader or Manager
– Proven hardware development experience preferably on regulated industries
(healthcare, aviation, automotive)
– Experience working with global teams
– Demonstrated team building, leadership and people management skills
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills
– Able to legally work in Mexico. We will not sponsor individuals for
employment visas, now or in the future for this job
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics:
– MS or PhD in Mechanical or Mechatronics is a plus
– Experience with Environmental Testing (, EMI, Vibration, Salt Fog, Water,
Sand, and Lightning)
– Manufacturing awareness of electro-mechanical and electronic products
– Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
– Ability to successfully work in a team environment
– Self-motivated, self-organized
