Role Summary/Purpose: In this role you will be responsible for Commercial
Finance activities across Latin America Oil and Gas businesses, reporting to
the Commercial Finance Manager. This individual will provide financial
leadership and partnership with local business leadership teams to create
increased visibility into commercial strategy and performance with the goal of
driving revenue and orders growth in the 5 product companies within Oil and
Essential Responsibilities: The Commercial Finance Leader will demonstrate
accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives and
integrate and develop processes for the wider GE organization, managing
complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contributing to
overall business strategy.
The role will work with the Regional Sales & CommOps teams helping them to
build, negotiate and close customer contracts. This role will also work
closely with the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A;), all of Oil and
Gas Finance and also GE Capital and GG&O; Project Finance teams.
This position will have to be able to balance GE and Customer priorities. This
role will partner with the Sales and CommOps team while holding them
accountable for the sales/deal/contract metrics and simultaneously balance
these with risk management and closing deals. This will require creativity,
decisiveness and a strong focus on processes to ensure that the best economic
decisions are made.
Main responsibilities:
– Be the Finance point of contact for O&G; deals within Latin America,
– Review customer specifications with emphasis on commercial issues, payment
terms and conditions, bonds, Letters of Credits and overall T&Cs; finance
– Become a partner to the Sales team in their overall path to close the deals
by providing new yet compliant ideas on all Finance matters
– Participate in deal reviews and prepare summaries for presentation to
Senior Management
– Financing: Develop financing alternatives mechanisms that tie-out with
customer’s need, interfacing with GG&O; Project & Finance and GE Capital –
Serve as an adviser to sales team on key aspects of financing.
– Maintain an inventory of regional commercial/financing opportunities;
engage EFS’s deal execution teams in situations where export credit agency
financing, cross-border commercial debt or equity, or an investment of GE’s
capital is under consideration
– Provide overall support for Risk Assessment & partner with region leader
and staff to drive overall commercial excellence and performance. Establish
and foster visible commercial partnership and effective relationships with key
FMP graduate with off program-experience
