We are looking for the best Assistant Accounting Manager.
The Assistant Accounting Manager will be tasked with overall responsibility for both, USGAAP and MXGAAP plus other reporting and compliance for legal entities. That includes preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts reconciliation including VAT and intercompany balances. The position should also serve as a key contact point for both internal and external auditors. The Assistant Manager will have overall responsibility to review the balance sheet for the entities under his/her responsibility.
Additional functions and responsibilities include:
- Analyzing in detail the daily and monthly transactions carried out for the entity (s) and verify that each transaction is properly supported as supervised by her/his Manager
- Preparation of all account reconciliations pertinent to the entities under his/her responsibility
- Support the Tax department as needed regarding estimated monthly tax calculations and any annual work as needed
- Working closely with the staff for gathering all relevant documentation to support VAT claims and reviewing the result with the Statutory Manager
- Provide support for external and internal audits and for the Dictamen Fiscal, also performing integration and analysis of related party transactions
- Active participation with his Manager to improve the accounting and month end close process. Taking leadership on assigned projects
- Undergraduate degree in accounting required
- 7 years of experience in accounting of Mexican companies and reporting for a comparable multinational firm
- Understanding of Mexican accounting compliance and regulatory reporting
- Proficient in the use of standard software packages including Microsoft Excel, and of Microsoft Word, ERP and (SAP system preferred)
- Strong organizational, written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (Knowledge of the written and spoken English language is preferred)
