Role Summary/Purpose: The Lean Leader 4 demonstrates accountability for
functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will
integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the
organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be
involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business
Essential Responsibilities: · Drive lean manufacturing activities and ensure
progress while tracking project status and closure
· Develop and coordinate lean manufacturing training and education
· Leverage best practice strategies and drive consistencies across sites when
· Create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce cycle time,
inventory, and waste
· Drive measurable improvements in process flow
· Assist in lean plan execution by leading Action Work-Outs (AWO’s), training
personnel and other activities to achieve world-class process flow
· Serve as division focal point for business wide lean Six Sigma initiatives
· Guide functional teams in developing and executing lean plans to reduce
cycle time, inventory, and waste to improve process quality and create
· Promote Six Sigma/Lean integration utilizing the strength of both methods to
achieve world-class business goals
· Assist functional managers in establishing a process flow
· Encourage use of lean tools to pull material from internal sources/customers
· Remain current on lean methodologies and train division on lean concepts and
mentor people using lean tools
Qualifications/Requirements: . At least 3 years of Operational leadership
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
· At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· Willingness and ability to travel 40% of the time
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics: . At least 5 additional years of experience in lean
systems and Six Sigma integration· Ability to make decisions with speed and
accuracy based on best available information· Ability to anticipate customer
needs and ensure that they are met· Ability to work in a matrix environment·
Ability to motivate teams and lead change at all levels of the organization·
Strong oral and written communication skills· Strong interpersonal and
